How does the Local NAP API work?

The Local NAP API is available to help you aggregate high level information about a given business automatically. Its inputs are a company Name, Address and Phone number and uses this information to scour the supported sites for information about that company (and optionally its competitors).

Consider the example where you want to get an audit of a company called Brooklyn Burgers & Beer, whose phone number is 718-788-1458 and post code is 11215. Once you submit this input to the API, it will go to the supported sites, identify this company and pick up the following information:

  • Name of the business as stated
  • Phone number as stated
  • Address as stated
  • URL to the given profile
  • Average review rating
  • Total number of reviews
  • Rating distribution (if made available)

Check out our API documentation for this endpoint to get more details.
